Increasing demands for complexity and precision call for new production strategies. DMG MORI will showcase suitable and efficient solutions at its Open House in Bielefeld from June 23 to 26, 2026. As a centre of excellence for Turn & Mill with comprehensive automation expertise, this long-established facility serves as a key meeting place for decision-makers and visionaries in the machining industry. The Additive Manufacturing Precision Factory will also demonstrate the potential of additive process chains in demanding industries. Using around 25 machines as examples, industry professionals will experience firsthand how Machining Transformation (MX) is paving the way for the future of manufacturing. The machines from the BX portfolio, including the CLX TC and DMX U models, provide the entry point here. Seminars and workshops delve into the most important trends in machining and provide practical insights for production. DMQP partners (DMG MORI Qualified Products), including those specialising in tools, tool presetting, and metrology, also offer insights into machine tool peripherals.
Industry experience meets innovation: New technologies for the manufacturing of the future
Building on a unique tradition in machine tool manufacturing, DMG MORI combines technological innovation with extensive industrial experience. The company views additive manufacturing not as a standalone technology, but as an integral part of holistic process chains—ranging from additive manufacturing and precision machining to automation, digitisation, and lifecycle services. This approach results in scalable, field-proven, and investment-secure manufacturing solutions for the industrial production of today and tomorrow.
Expertise in turn-mill for complete 6-side machining
As geometries become increasingly complex, turn &mill centers are gaining in importance. The models in the CTX TC and CLX TC series from Bielefeld enable 6-sided complete machining where previously at least two machines and multiple setups were required. This is made possible by integrating multiple technologies into a single workspace: By combining turning, mill-turn, and, if necessary, gear cutting and grinding in a single work area, DMG MORI enables reliable machining with a consistent focus on quality and efficiency. Solutions with a B-axis and an optional lower turret are suitable for highly economical production turning.
The product portfolio covers a wide range of components. The CLX 450 TC serves as the entry-level model for universal turning and milling. At the high end is the CTX gamma 3000 TC for workpiece lengths up to 3,000 mm. It exemplifies the comprehensive technology integration of the CTX TC series and its status as the industry benchmark for complete machining.
Optimal machine utilisation through automated manufacturing
Automation solutions help fully realise the potential of turnkey machining. Only through consistently automated loading and unloading processes can long machining cycles, consistent quality, and cost-effective machine utilisation be ensured. At the same time, staff gain additional resources for skilled tasks in work planning or quality control. In line with a sustainable manufacturing strategy, DMG MORI complements these approaches with customised retrofit solutions that enable existing machines to be specifically automated and integrated into modern production concepts.
While the established bar feeder excels primarily in series production with a continuous material supply, flexible workpiece or pallet handling systems demonstrate their strengths in small and medium batch sizes. In this area, DMG MORI is presenting the third-generation Robo2Go innovation, which is also on display for the first time in the Robo2Go Milling 3. Generation version. In addition, the high-performance Robo2Go Max, with a payload of 210 kg, can be experienced live. The modular PH Cell 300 also enables automated 5-axis simultaneous machining on a DMC 75 monoBLOCK.
Process chain for precision components produced using powder bed technology
The Additive Manufacturing Precision Factory combines metal 3D printing in the powder bed of a LASERTEC SLM machine with precision post-processing on universal machines such as the DMU 50 or DMU 65 monoBLOCK. This process chain brings together the best of both worlds: Additive manufacturing offers virtually unlimited design freedom, such as cooling channels that closely follow the contours of tools. The final milling operation ensures that bores, threads, and surfaces meet the specified accuracy requirements. DMG MORI supports the transition to this manufacturing strategy through its Additive Intelligence consulting unit. The experts there help users identify suitable components and develop the corresponding process. This is first tested in the Additive Manufacturing Precision Factory before production is seamlessly ramped up at the customer’s site.

At the Additive Manufacturing Precision Factory, DMG MORI designs process chains that combine metal 3D printing on machines from the LASERTEC SLM series with precision post-processing on 5-axis universal machines.
High system availability thanks to a precise supply of spare parts
A reliable supply of spare parts is a critical factor for the long-term productivity and availability of machine tools. DMG MORI supports users throughout the entire lifecycle with a comprehensive spare parts concept—from the rapid identification of suitable original spare parts and short delivery times to long-term support even for older machines. When combined with digital services and retrofit measures, downtime can be reduced and existing production facilities can be tailored to meet new requirements, while protecting investments in the long term.
Competitive Through Machining Transformation (MX)
These comprehensive manufacturing solutions and processes are the result of a forward-thinking approach. DMG MORI is guided by the pillars of Machining Transformation (MX): process integration, automation, Digital Transformation (DX), and Green Transformation (GX). The goal is to transform individual machining steps into seamless and efficient production systems. The intelligent combination of these four areas gives rise to manufacturing concepts that increase both productivity and flexibility. At the same time, they reduce resource consumption. At its in-house exhibition in Bielefeld, DMG MORI will use concrete applications to demonstrate how these approaches can be implemented in practice and how users can remain competitive in the long term.
BX: Efficient Access to Machining Transformation (MX)
DMG MORI is making the path to Machining Transformation (MX) even more accessible: The BX portfolio offers an easy entry point into modern manufacturing. Machines such as the CLX 550 TC for turning and milling and the DMX 60 U for 5-axis-machining offer a cost-effective and high-performance entry point into future-oriented production.
Even in their basic configuration, they are designed from the ground up for process-integrated and automated manufacturing. When combined with select MX options, they open up additional possibilities, ranging from application-specific automation solutions to the use of the innovative CELOS X control platform for maximum connectivity.
Combined with digital solutions such as DMG MORI technology cycles, this provides seamless access to the MX ecosystem. As a result, BX machines enable efficient and cost-effective production for the majority of daily applications while laying the groundwork for growing demands and future growth.
