At MACH 2026, Hexagon will preview Copilot assistance in EDGECAM, marking the first public UK demonstration of the new capability within its production CAM portfolio.EDGECAM is widely used across machine shops and technical training centres. The new Copilot functionality builds on EDGECAM's established automation framework, helping users apply proven processes more consistently as programming environments grow more complex. As part complexity increases and lead times tighten, CAM productivity is increasingly influenced by how reliably programming decisions are made.
At MACH, visitors will see Copilot operating directly within the workflow, supporting navigation of complex operations and reinforcing established programming logic, while keeping full control with the programmer. The demonstrations will show how assisted intelligence can help reduce
avoidable variation across parts, programmers and shifts, supporting greater repeatability without requiring changes to existing processes or machine investments. Hexagon will also highlight how EDGECAM, widely adopted in technical training institutions, supports skills development by helping new recruits follow established programming standards from the outset.Alongside EDGECAM, Hexagon will mark the 50th anniversary of RADAN, its sheet metal CAD/CAM solution. Used globally for punching, profiling and bending applications, RADAN has supported fabricators for five decades by focusing on preparation, process control and production-ready programming.Together, the demonstrations will highlight Hexagon's focus on reliable, production-driven CAM across both machining and fabrication disciplines.
Visitors can see live demonstrations of EDGECAM with Copilot and learn more about RADAN@50 on the Hexagon stand at MACH 2026.
